13. Religion

Many people in the Democratic republic of the Congo believe Christianity.

The main religions in the DRC are :

1. Indigenous traditional beliefs : 11.5 %

2. Roman Catholid Christianity: 50 %

3. Protestant Christianity: 20 %

4. Indigenous Christianity: 13.5 %

     Nearly all of whom (13%) are followers of Kimbanguism. Kimganguist church in what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Which was started by Simon Kimbanu,a great healer and prophet. Since his activities were not acceptable to the missionary church, he was arrested shortly after the start of his ministary.

5.Other Chrinstian demoninations:1%

6. Islam; 1.5%

There are  small communities of Jews and Hindus who work in commercial urban areas. Atheism is very rare.
